Man Utd Boss Solskjaer Announces The First Three Players He’s Selling This Summer

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the first three players he is putting up for sale this summer.

Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are the three names up for sale, reports say.

The 47-year-old is eyeing a centre-back this transfer window as he plots a path to Premier League title glory.

But it appears the United boss Solskjaer will have to sell before he buys this summer.

The Norwegian would like to sign another defender.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were both good last season but, despite their impressive displays, the Norwegian wants more.

And according to the MEN, Smalling, Jones and Rojo are ‘tagged’ as for sale as United seek further improvement following their return to the Champions League.

There have been suggestions Smalling may be given another chance at Old Trafford, having impressed over in Serie A with Roma during a loan spell.

But the England international now looks primed to be shown the door, with both Arsenal and Inter Milan linked.

But, with Lindelof, Maguire, Tuanzebe and Bailly all ahead of him in the pecking order, a parting of the ways is now on the cards.

Jones has been on the Red Devils’ books since 2011 but repeated injury problems have scuppered his Old Trafford career and Newcastle are interested in securing his signature.

Rojo was loaned out to Estudiantes back in the January transfer window, having struggled for opportunities since Solskjaer took charge at the club.

And, if United can find a buyer, they’ll also part ways with the Argentine.
