PSG Reveals Exciting Deal For Odion Ighalo To Leave Man Utd

Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has emerged as an unlikely target for Champions League semi-finalists PSG as they wave goodbye to their all-time top scorer Edinson Cavani.

The former Super Eagles striker has impressed in his cameo appearances since joining on loan from the Chinese Super League in January, scoring five times in five starts across 18 outings.

Ighalo was handed an extension to his deal by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which lasts until January of 2021, but that could be cut short thanks to interest from another European giant.

PSG, who recently qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 1995, are said to have shown interest in signing the former Watford man as a back-up to Mauro Icardi.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato , the 31-year-old is on a shortlist that is said to include Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and teenage prospect Arnaud Kalimuendo.

Edinson Cavani, who has scored a record 200 goals for the club, has decided to find a new challenge ahead of the 2020/21 season, which is said to have put him in talks with Benfica.

Foot Mercato add that the affordable transfer fee makes the Nigeria international a better option than many, and that exchanges between the player’s representatives and sporting director of PSG Leonardo have already begun. Follow us on Google newsTwitter and on Facebook
