Additional Fees That’ll Set Arsenal Back Have Emerged In Thomas Partey Transfer

Additional Fees Thomas Partey Transfer

Arsenal signed Thomas Partey in the closing hours of transfer deadline day.

And Gunners’ deal to sign the Ghanaian from Atletico Madrid could set them back a staggering £110million due to the additional fees involved in the deal.

Arsenal paid £45m to free the midfielder from his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano.

But the deal will cost a lot more than that in total, with The Mirror reporting it will set them back roughly £110m.

Arsenal apparently agreed to pay the 24-year-old a sign-on fee worth £2.5m, as well as wages of £260,000-per-week.

The Ghanaian international inked a four-year contract with a club option for a fifth year.

Partey is getting a significant wage increase from his Atletico contract, having earned roughly £65,000-per-week in Spain.

He will have to wait until after the international break to make his debut for Arsenal, but could slot straight into Arteta’s side to face Manchester City on October 17th.

Partey will wear the number 18 shirt at Arsenal, and became the club’s fifth permanent signing of the window.
